Hey guys debating on changing my exhaust, I am thinking of putting on just a magnaflow muffler. I listened to a bunch on you tube and thats what I like the most from what i can tell. just want to here some of your guys opinions that have changed your exhaust. do you like it? would you do it again? what did you do to it?

The only issue is that v-6s sound crappy with loud exhaust. That is why I am not going to do my eb. I have toyed with the idea of removing the resonator and putting a straight pipe in there and leaving the stock muffler to see if that gives it a little rumble. I don't want any drone in the cab at hwy speeds. That drives me crazy.
I am looking at getting the pipe from a 2010 Super Cru. They don't have resonators in them, and putting it on the eb. That way if I don't like it, I can put it back stock easily.

These exhausts on these trucks are plenty big, so you won't see any power gains with the muffler change. A tune is about all that will do that.

 

yeah im looking for just a little more sound more turbo whistle would be best. eb has plenty of power for me at least till warranty is up!

It seems that the trucks with the most pronounced turbo whistle are those with offroad downpipes. If didn't reside in the people's socialist republic of Maryland, with the good ole emissions testing, I would have gone that route as well.

Yea with no cats and a straight through muffler, that thing would whistle great.

 

The HeartThrob and Magnaflow seem to have the best turbo whistle mainly at idle. I too don't care for the V6 exhaust note when taking off fast ( which is mostly what I do), so I decided to stay stock and just put a nice tip on.

 

The sound of the ecoboost with a loud exhaust tone is like Kentucky bourbon - definitely an acquired taste. :-)
