bought a 07 f-150 a week ago from a dealer.found a seepage at the rear drivers side head gasket area. greasy and slight oil. block stains.dealer says truck was inspected by thier master mechanics and all their trucks are in great mechanical conditon before putting out to sell.dealer is now saying after i found this head gasket problem thats it normal wear for a truck with that many miles on it 54,000 and with truck being that old.should dealer fix this problem?

 

What kind of warranty did you get? You sure it's not just the valve cover gasket?

The warranty got was a 30 day or a 1000 mile warranty.

 

dealer wants to put oil die in motor and let me drive it for two weeks?anyone hear of this.

 

Let them. If that leak has dye showing then they can tell where its coming from. If no dye shows up it can mean that's an old leak
