Cold engine rattle

Cold engine rattle
Ever since I bought my truck new (6 miles) the engine has always had a faint tick upon startup, then just fades away after the engine starts to warm up. I have always used MC 5W20 oil and MC FL-400s oil filters. I just recently put MS5K 5W20 conventional oil in the engine and it now sometimes rattles upon startup. I'm doing an oil change today and going back with Castrol SynBlend 5W20 oil and a MC FL-400s oil filter. If it still rattles I will switch to either a Purolator Pure 1 or Mobil 1 oil filter.
Does anyone else here have or had the same situation as me?

When I first bought my F150 I took it into my local Ford dealer, complaining about the ticking sound. They kept it over night to so they could hear the ticking sound upon startup in the morning. They said it was normal for the 4.2 to make this sound. They even took me onto the lot to start several new F150s with the 4.2 and they ALL made the same sound upon startup. I also took my truck to 2 other dealers and the techs did the same thing and said it was normal.
I was just more concerned about the rattle since I have switched over to conventional oil.I'm going to start with the oil and if that don't cure it then a different brand of filter.

A friend helped me change it earlier.I went to WM to buy the MC oil but they were out of the 5qt containers.I bought Castrol SynBlend 5W20 5 qt container and a 1 qt bottle. I already had a MC FL-400s filter. I will know more in the morning; the temperature will be 28*-35*.
