EGR vacuum hose...

Recently i had a small animal get into my engine and chew through a spark plug cable and the vacuum hose coming off my egr valve. im not a mechanic and have very little experience and so i have no idea where the hose from the egr connects to. ive done some googling and have a haynes manual but i cant find anything other than how to replace the egr etc.

I have a 2005 4.2 v6 f150.

Sure, - when I can sleep. Sometimes it's just impossible. Like insomnia without reason lol. I won't take any pills, so I deal with it. Drinking helps, but I run out to quickly. Posting here helps, - specially when I've been drinking.

I must be naming the wrong hose or something, there's no green line I've never seen one on my engine. there's 2 small red lines running to the top of the egr and the large metal pipe on the bottom running to the exhaust I assume.

just below the 2 red lines there's a connection for a black hose (part of it was still attached) with the engine running there's a vacuum pulling into the egr. I just don't know where the other end connects to because the hose was pulled completely off and laying on the ground, except for the small bit still attached to the egr.

No, your not or actually, you might be lol. The answer I've given you is for a "single" part EGR valve. I think you have a combination part ie, egr/dpfe/evr all as one part. (?) This change took place in the V8's 2004. I wasn't aware the V6 had this system as well.

Well, I have to look it up now, see if I can find you a diagram or something.. Hang on, brb.

Yea, you have the new system.

This sticker should be right under the hood/ top of the cowel. -

Here's a better shot of routing and explanation -

Hope that's enough.
