DTC error code PO136

Don't shoot meet I don't have an F150., But the Advance Auto guy sent me here for an answer.

Here's the info:
2001 Taurus SES V6 3.0L

Vehicle Scanned
GLOBAL OBDII
Vehicle

PO136
O2 Sensor
Circuit Malfunction
(Bank 1 sensor 2)

PO156
O2 Sensor
Circuit Malfunction
(Bank 2 sensor 2)

P1131
Manfacurer Control.
Fuel Air metering

P1151
Manfacurer Control.
Fuel Air metering

DTC pending cods

PO401
EGR Flow
Insufficient

Here's the story:
turned car off - no problems
*no pre-problem indicators, car was running fine

next start-up, problems
car would barely run, gets slightly better as it warms up
runs as if on 2-3 cylinders

???is this related to problem: during driving, (since problems occurred), intermittently, brake pedal gets hard as a rock, barely stops car, next instant brake pedal is fine, (normal)

My question: Is it common for both O2 sensors to go bad instantly at same time? Is bad sensors actually my problem?

Advance Auto Parts guy sent me here, (great guy, very helpful) wondering
if this could be a O2 sensor fuse or relay issue instead of the actual sensors.

Just seems odd both sensors fail by circuit malfunction at the same instant.

Help would be appreciated
Gregory

solution

Thanks folks, but I discovered the solution! It was an electrical plug on the firewall side of the intake manifold, it had come loose. As soon as I plugged it in, problem was fixed. At least the rough running problem, I'll have to see if it affected the brake pedal issue.

FYI, sensor 2 is the downstream sensor, which only monitors cat efficiency. It has nothing to do with how it runs, it's only for emissions reporting, you won't pass an emissions inspection with those codes.
