F150 Fuel Pump

I have a 1997 4.2 V6. Two days ago it just stopped while going around the b lock. It turns over but won't start. I have pulled the fuel line and noticed no fuel being pumped. I replaced the fuel filter, and the fuel pump in the tank but still nothing. I took the old fuel pump and connected it right to the battery and it ran, but hooking to the wiring harness from the tank gives me nothing. I have checked the wiring all the way back to the fuse panel, repalced the fuse and trelay, no luck. What am I missing? Someone has mentioned the camshaft sensor, never heard of that. Is that something that can be bypassed to see if it is the issue?

Don't these trucks have a fuel shut off switch? I thinks its in the passenger side kick panel.

hey. i just had this happen. I was on my way home from work and DRIVING PAST THE FORD DEALER SHE SHUT OFF. so i push her back into the lot. the next morning we get called and say its a sensor on the camshaft. ~$300 to fix. i noticed it about a week before the engine made a rattling noise. most ppl on here incorrectly diagnosed it as an A/C clutch failing. if you hear something like that, it is most likely the sensor on the camshaft that has something to do with driving the fuel pump. again, took them 2 days and $300 (1/2 parts, 1/2 labor) to repair. sorry to hear you had to replace your fuel pump when the old one was working.
