Starting to Look for a '97-'03 F150

I'm starting to look around for a '97-'03 F-150.

I'd prefer to find one that is essentially a rolling chassis that someone wants to get rid of.

Also wouldn't mind buying one with a blown engine not already removed.

I would prefer a truck that had/has an automatic, but for the right price, I will consider whatever you may have. I would require that the body and interior be at least in decent shape. Please, no rust buckets or wrecks that need to be repaired. I don't want to get in too far over my head.

I'm just seeing what's out there, and how much I'll need to save to buy a truck in such condition. Just let me know what you have. Thanks for looking.

How much are you asking? What condition is the vehicle in, interior and exterior? Mileage? And where are you located? If you have some pictures, please send them to westtexastiger@yahoo.com .

Selling '97 F-150 SuperCab XLT

If you are still looking for a truck; I've got a 1997 F-150 XLT SuperCab for sale.
It has 140,000 miles on it, and is equipped with a 4.6, A/T, custom wheels and a Bed Liner.
The truck has one of three problems --according to my mechanic.
Either the freeze plug behind the timing cover is ruptured; the intake manifold is cracked, or it has a blown head gasket. In any case, it's got a milkshake going on in the oil pan.
The crazy thing is the truck doesn't run hot and doesn't have a miss. I'm not anxious about tearing into this thing -- I'd rather just sell it to someone who can fix it.
The truck is located near the City of Oceanside in So. Calif. and $1,500.00 cash buys it.

I have gotten a line on another truck, and it's much closer to me. Do you ever make any trips to Texas or New Mexico? I live roughly halfway between Dallas and El Paso on I-20. If you can, I'd like to see some pics of your truck.

Don't get to Texas too often. We'll get some pictures this weekend and send them to your Yahoo e-mail address.
