1997 F-150 XLT 4x4 supercab short bed in Maine $2000 (SOLD)

1997 F-150 XLT supercab short bed 4x4
226,000 miles
4.6L V8
8.8 rear with 3.55 LSD
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

-engine replaced with Pro-Mar reman engine at 127,000
-transmission rebuilt at 166,000
(can produce documentation for both engine and trans)
-all 4 tires have less than 5,000 miles on them- BFG All-terrain KO - 265/75/16's (31)
*1 tire is older than other 3, carried as full size spare for few years since brand new, has only been used for last several thousand miles
-Full size BFG A/T spare - (low on tread)
-rear brakes and upper balljoints replaced this past winter
-Inspected until June 2010 - no reason it shouldn't pass again in present condition
-new passenger side front cv axle in June (to get sticker)
-has short ram intake with K&N style reusable filter (ebay special)
-DeeZee diamond plate bed rail caps and tailgate cap

included with Truck are (4) used Ultra Wheels Aluminum wheels (16x8) I bought them in their present condition, and never used them. They need to be cleaned up, but would look better than the factory wheels on the truck today. (1 center cap missing on factory wheels)

also included are Willmore Stainless Steel Wheel to Wheel Nerf Bars (steps, picture of when they were on the truck at bottom.) They attach to the rocker panels, but need new hardware, since some of the hardware broke when I removed them.

Haynes Manual, and 2 center caps that fit the wheels, but don't match wheels are included. (centercaps are polished looking, wheels are not)

The only rust spot I've noticed on this truck is on the rear bumper, near the license plate holder. The rockers directly underneath the driver and passenger door are smashed up a bit. They may need some massaging to get the nerf bars back on. (It took quite a bit of massaging to get them on the first time) The lifting points of a 2 post lift slipped off the frame of this truck, and is what smashed the rockers the originally)

This truck was a Georgia truck for the first 90,000 miles of it's life, so I do consider the underside of this truck to be in better shape than one used up here it's entire life.

Prior to this past weekend it was having a mis-fire problem according to the computer, but it turns out I had a disintegrating hose on both the EGR return, and PCV. Alot of unmetered air was getting in the engine and was causing it to stall rather than idle. Since I replaced those hoses, the misfire hasn't come back driving up and down my road a couple times, and idling for over a half hour. (misfire and CE light would used to come back before I was out of the driveway)

Carfax available - it shows an accident in the front right of the truck - admittedly the grille and headlights were replaced when I hit a group of mailboxes 2 winters ago, but the accident shown in the carfax was actually in my mustang, don't know how it got on this truck's carfax, unless mis-reported by my insurance company. This truck was rearended once at low speed by a buick sedan which hit right on the trailer hitch

Trailer wiring not working, could be just the fuse, haven't looked. Cigarette lighter and auxilliary power socket not working.
