1997 f-150

I am trying to get a generalized real world idea of what my truck is worth, I know what it blue books for, but some vehicle are sold for well over blue book value, and some for way under. Anyway, here are the stats:

1997 F-150 XLT
4.6L
Automatic trans.
4x4
Just hit 170k miles
Vermilion red
Cloth interior no rips or hole, but a couple burns
5" Suspension lift kit with about 1100 miles on it
35x12.5x17 Good Year Fierce Attitude tires with 70% tread (measured by les schwab)
17x9 XD Series Spy wheels with about 600 miles on them
Tow package
Bed liner
3" tube Arias nerf bars
Grill guard
Aftermarket headlights and tail lights
2 7" KC 165 watt lights on grill guard
2 5" tractor lights on the back (to see when you are reversing in the dark)
After market radio (speaker are still stock)
Well maintained, never been true off roading (closest to it was an old logging road about 5 miles long)
All maintenance records available
All receipts for after market item available
All receipts for repairs available

The last picture is how it sat at the day I bought it (still at the dealership)

I just read your other thread -with the amount of work that truck needs it's worth about 4 grand TOPS, it will be a hard sell.

Truck needs nothing other than an oil change in about 200 miles at this point. Trans got changed out, new ti-rods, ball joints, motor mounts, etc. If you are referring to the review post I made about Broadway autos, horrible place, I had to get everything fixed at my expense (about 3k).

Okay, maybe 5 grand if you can find another kid that thinks a lifted truck is cool. To a dealer, your mods subtract value, not add it.

It all depends, I will never out right sell to a dealer, they pretty much rape you. I'd trade it in to a dealer depending upon what I am buying.

You would be lucky to get 2 grand in a tradein - however, they will make you think you are getting a lot more because they will in reality give you a discount off sticker price and quote the inflated tradein value off sticker.
