Post A, X and Z. Can someone explain the Ford employee purchase plans?

Does anyone have the details on the A, X or Z plan. I think they just opened the plan (which one?) up to grandsons and daughters and that now includes me. I know nothing of the plan or even which one I fall into so any info would be appreciated!

Ok kkirt1 I'll bite. Grandchildren are eligible for A and Z plan, I think it has been that way for a while. A plan is for current Ford employees, and I believe Z plan is for retired Ford employees. X is a supplier discount. A and Z plan are the same price.

If you are eligable for A or Z plan ask the dealer to show you the invoice for the vehicle, and there will be a box marked A plan...this is your price. No haggling ...nothing. It is a preset price for all employees and qualifying relatives. The only thing left to haggle about is trade in value.

In order to make the deal you will need a qualified PIN which your grandmother or grandfather will need to get. They associate this number with their ss number. The dealer needs this PIN to give you this price. It also goes back to Ford so they know which employee is using their A-plan....they are only allowed a certain number per year.

Farmboy is right about the A plan. The X plan is the A plan + 4%. We get this where I work. Since we purchase a lot of Ford trucks, our employees can use the X plan. I don't know about the Z plan.

Thumbs up

I bought mine on the Z-Plan through my father-in-law. If you qualify, use it! It's the best deal you'll ever get, with no haggling. In my case, there was nearly 5 grand difference between sticker and Z-plan.
