Question Price on 97 f150 4x4

I've been lloking for a new truck now for a while, and found really nice one. It's a 97 reg. cab 4x4 xlt, 4.6 engine, 64,000 miles. It's got a conversion, but i don't remeber what brand. It's got leather, tilt, cruise, pw/pl etc... & nice aluminum wheels. Their asking $15,900. About 1000 more than a extra-loaded 2wd Lariat that I also REALLY liked w/ 44,000 miles, (but I'm hooked on 4wd). This is in Indiana, and I think it's mostly highway miles, as it's located in BFE and they probably drove from there to Indianapolis or Bloomington a lot.
Does this sound like good starting point to barter down from? I think so. Please give me some input, I appreciate it. BTW I'm trading in my "lemon" 88 Bronco fullsize Eddie Bauer, so I'll be bartering for the trade-in also.

I would try to get them down to 15,000, after all it is only a reg cab with 64,000 miles.

Look to see if it has the door crack, if it does you can probably get them down on price for that. I'm asuming that lariat 2wd is also reg cab?

Question

Yes, the 2WD Lariat was a reg. cab. What door crack are you refering to? Is there a problem with them? I'll definately look into the recalls & TSB section of this site for that. Everywhere I look the F-150 gets great markes for reliability, workmanship, etc. So I hope there aren't hidden problems that pop up down the road.
I just need to find time to get back down there to look at it again.
Thanks, David
