In-Line Transmission Filter

Guys,

I bought a perma-cool filter kit. I'm going to intall it in the outgoing trans line to the cooler. Is this correct? Also will I be able to use a std oil filter or will I need to buy the perma cool model. Was thinking of using the Mobil1 Filter.

Also would a Magnafine in the return line be overkill? I have approx. 77K on the truck. Fluid and filter just changed with new valve body install at 76K.

Thanks,

John

Cool

HI!... I've been running a PERMA-COOL aux tranny filter now for about 3.5 years. No problems. I just use a normal spin on oil filter. FRAM usually. I mounted mine in the tranny's outgoing line from the tranny to the rad. Here's a pic of my set-up.
