Thumbs up Tranny Shop You Can Trust, DFW Area?

Has anyone found a Tranny shop, or even a dealer for that matter that has no "mod-pheobia" that would be trusted and has the knowledge to do good work, primarily shift improvment kit's and mod's?

I hit 24k on mine today and I'm planning for tranny service and Mobil 1 and thought that while I'm at it, I'd like to have someone trust worthy install a shift kit and mod, 4x4 pan, and Mobil 1, filter etc. Of course I could just let someone do a flush with Mobil 1, but this is an excuse to get a kit and tranny mods done too.

This may be a long shot but here goes.....

Familyride,

I dont know of a reputable T-shop in the DFW area, I can suggest this, make sure they are AAA-certified with a nationwide warranty. I have experienced Accurate Transmission in Mesquite and highly recommend you stay away from them...before I bought my f-150, I took my other brand of truck there that I will not mention since it was not a ford, and had to take it back ..1st time it wouldn't shift into O/D, they fixed that, after that it seemed to take a long time to get into reverse...but 1st - 4th was good..(dont back up that much anyway) It was kind of a rinky dink operation I think..So stay away from them for sure!

Other advice, 95% of the time if the company has a clean looking garage, professional attitude, it will be done right, make sure there is like a 24mo/24K mile warranty, and be sure to check for the AAA-certified/nationwide warranty. Dealership will cost you an arm and a leg..

Hope this helps some.

Mike
