Question tranny gasket

Recently I changed my tanny oil and filter, I installed the cork gasket that came in the kit, instead of reusing the "usable" rubber gasket that is on the tranny. I had quite abit of seapage and decided to reinstall the rubber gasket that I had saved. I used alittle rtv for added security but low and behold I am getting some more seapage, screws are snug and the seapage is not as bad as with the cork gasket.
Any one have any suggestions?

Never use any sealer with a rubber or cork gasket. And the cork one most likely just needed to swell?? if you didn't overtighten it. start in the middle and work your way around the bolts to secure it properly/.
