Question Transmission oil change?

hi wondering if you guys could help. would changing the tranny oil on an expidition be the same as in the f150? i got a EB 4x2 w/ 5.4L. if so could someon give me a step by step? thanks. are there any other better tranny filters out there besideds the motorcraft? thanks for th help...

The stock filter appears very capable (absent any way of actually measuring it's filtering ability). I think I read that the gasket is reusable (o-ring???).

the trans pan gasket is reuseable make sure the o ring from the old filter comes out with the filter when removing it from the trans
you can remove the plug in the bell housing to get to the drain plug for the torque converter and replace the fluid start the with 8 qts of mercon not mercon 5 then start the engine and pout the rest of the fluid run it thur the gears reverse and forward gear a few times then check fluid level it should take about 14 qts of mercon
