Cool MOBIL 1 ATF OH GOSH I LOVE IT!!!!
OH BOY!!!
I just changed the oil on my M5OD R2 5 speed from regular Mercon to Mobil 1 Synthetic....IMMEDIATELY after changing, I drove it, and man....SO much better. Smoother, quieter, feels like more power, (although I don't see how) and NO MORE NOTCHY SHIFTING!!!!!!
smooth as silk and shifts as soft as butter,

I changed to Mobil1 synthetic ATF at 22k miles. I didn't notice the dramatic improvement you did, but it is far easier to shift during the winter.
