Post 4R70W tranny drain plug pan

Ok folks, Just got off the horn with the ford dealer. It seems that there is a new 4R70W tranny pan that has a built in drain plug. PN# F6AZ 7A194 A, @$21.08 is the number for the pan, and PN# N605 785 S1036,
@$.70 is the number for the plug.

I am going back in the pan to make some changes to the Bauman Engineering shift kit this week end and will be installing the pan then. Will post the poop on the pan install.

Shouldn't the AODE pan fit? I mean, the pan gasket that came with my shift kit was for both AODE & 4R70W. Thanks for the number. I'll look into it, unless you know for a fact that the sump depth is totally different or something to that effect.

Thumbs up

HAAAAA..

Bought a B&M deep pan today. Install was a breeze. Made some fine tuning to the Bauman Engineering shift kit. What a difference. Customer service from Bauman was top notch. 2 weeks after I installed the kit, Greg (from Bauman) called me to see if everything went ok. I explained to him my concern about sluggish 1-2 shift after the install. All he said was no problem, all ya gotta do is add two shims. It took about ten minutes after the stock pan was off.

I called B&M for recommendations on an extended pickup for their deep pan, and they said that I didn't need one. I put the magnet from my old pan over the cast center post in the new pan and used the same old gasket. Took 8 quarts to top it off with the deep pan. The pan looks really nice under there too. It does hang a little lower though, but thats ok, I wanted a skid plate anyway.

Dam these mods are getting expensive. I will post the pics with the rest of the mods on my website.

Got the brush guard from desert rat. They called it a euroguard or something. Had the guy at the muffler shop weld the lower brackets to the frame. If I need to lower the guard, I just take out the two top bolts and the whole assembly swings down. I paid 225 for the guard, delivered, about a year ago. I see them for 400+ now. I ordered mine in flat black, in case I have to push some Z71 outta the way I can just touch it up with a little spray paint.

Thanks
