Cool

I am expecting my Art Carr tranny to arrive today or tomorrow. We discussed torque converters and I ended up selecting an Art Carr 2000-2400 stall 11 inch converter. I did this because I pull a small a small Flats boat and we didn't want to be too radical. This should be the last tranny I buy for this truck as it has very few if any stock parts in it and according to the tech it is good to around 700 HP and 600 lbs of torque. The only original part is the 4R70W case!

Great let me know how you like it. I filled out the spec sheet at the yank Site. It asks all the info on your truck and stuff like mods, HP, weight and things. They emailed me back and said i should go with the Yank Thruster 2800. Just wanting to know if anyone has done this and if they like what they got and did they get the desired perfomance. The dyno charts show putting anywhere from 25 to 30% more of your Horsepower to the rear wheels starting at 1000rpms until about 4000 rpms and then levels off at about 5% the rest of the way, that sounds awesome to me? Or is it all propoganda? Tthe dyno sheets are supposed to be real.

Cool

These transmissions are supposed to help in the 1/4 mile and I hope that is true. The only way to know for sure is either the dyno or run the 1/4 mile once you have established a base line time. Do you pull anything or just "Sport Truck it?"

Don't believe the dyno sheets Precision claim
minium of 40-50 hp to the rear wheels. I put my truck on the dyno and my hp went down from factory specs. They said it was from using a dyno jet dyno, and not using a dyno with a water break or a eddy current dyno. Whatever the case may be the horse power does not show on a average dyno but I can feal more power.
