My '97, 5sp, V6, XLT, SC seems to have a whine when I "drag" the rear end. Basically, if I'm coasting...in gear...I can hear a fairly loud whine from the rear-end. If I depress the clutch, the whine goes away. Let the clutch out and you can hear it again. For all I know this may be normal. It's in the shop today for other reasons, I figure I'll have them check this out, too. Any suggestions?
