Exclamation Check your tranny cross bar member!

Since I pulled off the lot, my truck has made a popping sounds when taking off of slowing down. I sounded like 4X4 disengaging, or like a piece of cardboard in my drive shaft sliding back and forth. After taking it to the shop, they told me that one bolt was missing from the tranny cross bar member, and the other was hardly hanging on. IT CAME LIKE THIS FROM THE PLANT!!! Next time your under there, check them out. My tranny was jolting back and forth because it had no restraint...now she's as smooth as butter!!!

Maybe you got one that had to have the mechanical diode retrofit after it left the factory. They will of course be more likely to foul something up if its not done on a regular line.

I think that was only on the 5.4's, and I don't see a green stripe, so I don't think that was the case. Just another plant screw up.
