Question Transmission acting funny

Lately my truck has been shifting differntly. It will not be as smooth but kind of jerks into the next gear. It only occurs at partial throttle. Do I need to change the fluid or what??

More info! How mant miles do you have? do you tow? how much weight/how often. If you have more than 20,000 miles and tow or offroad thats considered severe service. As the first step I would do a complete swap of trans fluid and a new filter, then see how it goes. The service interval for transmissions used to be 30,000 miles but Ford now recommends 21,000 miles.
Good Luck

Hobbit

PS do the fluid exchange not just dropping the pan, it gets all the fluid including in the torque converter and in the transmission cooler(if equipped). And change the filter too!

Hobbit,
I only have 18K miles on it. I do not tow with the vehicle at all. It doesn't happen all the time, just every now and then. I should probably take it in and have the Ford dealership do it, I am leasing it. Thanks for the reply.
