I sent an e-mail to Royal Purple on their Max atf fluid. I asked if it met the requirements for the 4R100 in my Lightning that uses Mercon fluid. They told me that their atf meets the Mercon III requirments from Ford but not the Mercon V. Is Mercon III the same as just Mercon? I know the V is differant but want to make sure that if Royal purple meets Mercon III spec it will be ok for my trans. Thanks Jeff
