Help. I'm almost finished my Transgo install, but the directions for the check balls doesn't match the actual valve body. 6 of the 7 balls or OK. The last doesn't make sense. See the directions attached and the pictures of the body itself. Please help quickly.

I am not sure what your question is.
On my kit there is one check ball that did not get re-installed. I called transgo and they verified that I should have one check ball left over after the install. The oriface valve that is installed later (see my posts for problems I had) replaces this last check ball.

Thanks, I understood that one check ball wasn't reinstalled.
My problem was that the diagram in the directions didn't match the valve body itself and that Transgo tech support was not answereing the phone on Saturday.
If I traced to where the directions said the check ball went, it was a large opening where I knew the ball wouldn't check anything. The check ball actually went where the screwdriver is pointing in the last picture.
On a now its funny note, I had to drop the valve body twice.... turns out I found a screen that should have been installed above the body in the transmission. Found its location after several minutes of searching.
Finished (at least I thought I had) the install Saturday night, but was not really impressed with the shifts - they didn't seem much better than stock.
Then, after the truck sits all day Sunday (I made my son drive me in his car to church), I wake up early Monday morning having dreamt that I left the paper clip on the EPC valve. Sure enough, it wasn't in the box.
Had to drop most of the pan and pull it out. Retighten, retourque, etc. Fill er up and take her for a test drive! What a difference. Apparently, with the EPC lifted slightly, the pressure can't build enough to make the shifts firm. With the EPC correctly installed, the shifts are firm and quick.
Not counting my fiascos with directions, screens and paper clips, the hardest part of the job was removing the plastic connector strip safely. I was paranoid about breaking it and having to find my way to a Ford dealer on a Saturday. Second hardest had to be using snap ring pliers with hands sufficiently lubricated by ATF!

I feel your pain brother. I followed someones advise and got a good set of snap ring pliers. Still does not account for the still good trans fluid all over my hands no matter how much I tried to keep them clean. I finally got everything in and I guess you did too.
Glad it worked out well for you. It's amazing what we can do in our dreams...

I thought I had a good set of pliers. Made by channel loc. Still tough to "handle". At least ATF cleans up easily with soap and water - it certainly doesn't wipe of well with a rag! lol
