Question Radiator fitting size?

Anyone know the fitting size for the transmission cooling lines at the radiator? Is it a flared fitting? NPT? I want to install a cooler but I need to know what adapters to get (flared to barbed, NPT to barbed, or what?) Any links to a site with that kind of info would be of great help.

3/8" inverted flare long throat. I was unable to find these fittings when I installed mine a year ago so just cut the line and spliced with hose. However, in the last week I was surfing for a cooler for my van and found a site that had similar fittings. See below. You'll have to contact them to see if they have 3/8".

Might want to check Summit racing too.

Lightbulb

Just finished some research and made some measurements on the transmission line fitting for my radiator (2001 V6), it has 5/8" O.D. threads on the male fitting. The fittings are, as Tiger said, an inverted flare; however they are 5/8-18 thread (standard for 3/8" tubes). See the links below. bulkparts.com sells the Hayden adapters (#T395). Derale also makes them (PN 13025). And, as Tiger said, drawtite-hitches.com has them (PN 6442).

This is probably more information than anyone needed to know, but I'm making this post so I can find the info later, myself.

Sorry, that was a brain-fart on my part. I was thinking about the tube diameter. You are correct.
