Tranny Gauge installation question?

Ok i just had my tranny gauge installed by the tranny shop. He put the probe in a port on the passenger side of the tranny not the drivers side. Does it matter what port on what side of the tranny a probe is installed into? My readings thus far with just around town driving here in FLA has been between just a little above the 150 mark. Is this accurate? Havent been out towing yet to see what its gonna read. My aux. cooler is 10X10 hooked in series after the radiator cooler. Its is also mounted on the radiator so its getting maximum air thru the grill.

It sure seems about right. I doubt the temp of the fluid is going to vary much in the trans, it's pretty hot in there. The temp seems pretty accurate to me.
