trans cooler size??????

i have a 3/4 x 10 x 15.... trans cooler as the sole cooler ..i bypassed the one in the radiator... is this enough cooling yeah i have a shift kit,chip,and synth fluid..and other goodies

I don't think that it's a good idea to bypass the radiator. The radiator should be the main cooler and the aux. cooler should get the temp down just a bit more before it return to the transmission.

I agree with AjRagno.

Fluid to fluid heat transfer is THE MOST EFFICIENT form of heat transfer. My cooler is after the factory rad. cooler.
Depending upon location in the US (Phx v. Oregon), the type of driving, load, and frequency of load will dictate how much cooler you need. My setup keeps the oil at or below 180F spikes with a load up to 8000lb behind my truck on a 115F day.

Also, I highly reccomend a temp gauge if you do not already have one.

Search for posts in the trans section by my id over the last 18mos. for more info on trans cooling.

well i'm back in business with the rad cooler and extra perma cool i added...i had to bypass the rad for a day because of uhh.. technical difficulties.. yeah..so i got some more parts to get the right set up ..thanks.......
