cant find the right truck!

i been looking for months now, and i cant find the truck that i want.

im looking for a 97-98 STX/XLT V8 auto reg cab. flareside
or a 99-00 sport/XLT V8 auto reg cab. flareside
black, red or silver for less than $10k

what i found so far

99 sport/XL V6 auto reg cab. styleside black 34k miles 9950
(lots of scratches, expedition wheels, ugly noisy tires, seems like the previous owner wanted a 4x4 and couldnt afford it).

98 STX/XLT V6 5spd reg cab. flareside sliver 54k miles 9988
(excellent condition)i dont mind the V6 but the 5spd
not everybody in my family drives manual besides you dont want a manual in rush hour.
i drove to 5 cities and didnt find a truck that i like. well only one
it was a 98 supercab xlt auto V8 white excellent condition 9995
saw it on sunday went on monday after work and it was sold

the only options now are to drive to san antonio texas, or houston i have checked on the internet dealers websites, autotrader, newspaper etc havent found anything.

it was just a tought that if i buy the stx in the future i could convert it to a auto

SabinasHgo

That's like asking if you should have a sex change operation....Why in earth would you want to do that? Go with what God hath giveth, whether that is your body or a great deal on a truck..............

So you went with the 5-speed after all.
When I bought my truck there were two on the lot. My 4.6, 5-speed and a black flairside, 4.2, auto. The black one was much nicer looking but I prefer the manual and wanted the V8.

I'm very happy with my truck. I'm sure you will be happy with yours.
The Expy wheels and noisy Goodyears are part of the STX package. It is supposed to be a 4X2 with the aggressive styling of a 4X4. That is what I read in a description of the STX package.

Have fun!
