Question Did i blow up the tranny?

I was doing some Muddin' as i like to call it this weekend. And about half hour after we got down and got back on the road in 2-wheel, my truck was only using 1st and 2nd gear. It still won't, no 3rd, drive or overdrive. What's the matter? I looked underneath but didn't see anything unhooked. Has this happened to anyone? Occasionally it will go into third, but as soon as i stop and start again it won't. Give any suggestions you have guys, thanks.

It sounds like you may have damaged the direct clutch. I'd get it to someone that can diagnose a transmission problem ASAP!!!

More driving will cost more money if something's broken.

Unhappy

What was the diagnosis and fix?

Mine apparently did the same thing this weekend -- only I was hauling angel wings and was on the highway and not playing around.

Angel wings are very very light (I was running empty -- it's hard to make jokes when looking at a mega-bill -- sorry for the bad attempt).
