Can someone tell me if the trans needs to be in a certain gear when removing the valve body or can u leave it in park

 

It can be in any gear.. They're usually in park, but it doesn't matter. Just be safe if you're on the ground on your back. Chock the wheels good.

What matters is when you put it back. The pin on the lever MUST go into the right slot on the manual valve on the valve body.

Thanks Darrin getting ready to pull valve body to change out the ***** in the valve body i heard the ***** wear and the trans wont shift right it is shifting from first to 3rd at around 30 mph checked tps and and both speed sensors on trans i was told #7 ball in valve body might be worn there was a tsb on this prob
