Got a call from my mechanic that they finished up installing my new transmission (Automatic) after I blew it up. I want to find out if there is any important things I need to know about after getting a new transmission installed? Anything I should be aware of? Anything I should look for after getting my vehicle back? Anything.

I would like this thread to help anyone out, so feel free to talk about manual transmissions too, I'm looking to get a manual vehicle in the future.

Hello everyone, I may have something that might be related to having a new auto. transmission put in a 2010 F-150, a couple months ago. Now that it's getting dark earlier, I noticed the back-up lights weren't working, with the headlights on, but if you turn the headlights off, both back-up lights work fine!? Feel free to scratch your head, I have, but after 30 years of working on F-series trucks (F-100 -F-800) I'm at a loss with this one!
