Where to get Mercon V cheaper?

None of the auto parts stores carry this in bulk. It is $6.19 a quart, and that's about the same as Motorcraft from the dealer. 14 quarts is going to be close to $95 after tax.

Is there any way to get this cheaper or on sale, or just not pay retail? I cant seem to find it any cheaper online.

it is sold in bulk, I buy fluid from the local Motorcraft distributor, $4.25 per qt is about as cheap as I can get it.

you might be able to find it sold on line, I know walmart.com sold fluid for a while

here are the Part #s;

XT-5-QM - 1 quart bottle (sold individually)

XT-5-QMC - 1 quart bottle (sold in Case only - 12 qts to a case)

XT-5-5QM - 5 quart jug

XT-5-GM - Gallon jug

Walmart and Amazon are both motorcraft distributors, you should be able to buy fluid from either one. However some on line sellers will not ship fluids because of State and/or EPA regulations.

I thought about the Supertech. That stuff is like $4.25 a quart, nothing is cheaper.

I ended up buying Castrol Mercon-V from Pep Boys - they had a 25% online deal, pick up local or ship to home with free shipping, got it down to about $5.25 a quart.

Walmart Supertech is fine, and approved by Ford. [Supertech] Mercon V is hard as blazes to find anywhere for some reason. I had to search all over the south end of my state to gather up what I needed (12 qts). Go online and see what you can find and have them hold it for you...

I always check the shelf at my local wally-world for Mercon V when I'm there. Tons of every kind of xmsn fluid except Mercon V (usually none). Always.

Castrol Mercon V is on sale at Advance Auto this month for $4.99/quart.

NAPA also has a house brand made by Valvoline. I think it's about $5-$5.50/quart last I knew.
