2001 F150 4x4 4R70W Swap 4R100 HELP!
Hello Everyone! My name is Jim and I Have a 2001 f150 Supercrew 4x4 with a 4r70w Transmission and I have a 1998 Lincoln Navigator with a 4r100 Transmission. Here is where I am currently at as of today! I have taken trans out of navi and put it in my 2001 f150 everything bolted right up and one wire harness to the trans plugs right in torsion bars I took off navigator and moved the mount back about 4" (guess because holes are pre drilled bolts right in place) I made my exhaust 4" longer on both sides to make it fit. Took trans cooler and lines out of navi put in my truck. Took the driveshaft to my local machine shop and had it shortened (fits great). Now here is where I hit the wall that I so much need help with! I put the computer out of navi into my truck knowing I need a 4r100 trans layout plugs right in everything seems to work windows, guages, seats, lights, turns over but will not fire and start! So I put my ORIGINAL ECM back in truck started right up so I attempted to drive it in drive it moves but won't shift. So I shift it manually 1,2,D with the OD button OFF because if it is on and tries to go into OD its like a neutral. I need to figure out what is wrong here! what can I take out of navi put in my truck to make it start up and go the proper way!?!?!?! The anti-theft light seems to blink rapidly when cranking over do I need to take all the little black/blue/aluminum boxes/harness out of navi? Don't be Afraid to post any little thing will help! PLEASE AND THANKS!

The Navigator PCM has Passive Anti Theft System (PATS.) Unless you transfer the entire system the truck won't start. I *think* that entails the PATS module and a sensor in the steering column, right at the key. And of course the wiring to connect these.
Depending on what engine you have you might be able to find a PCM that works with that engine and a 4R100 that does not have PATS.
The transmission wiring in your truck can be modified to work, the pin locations are different and that needs to be addressed.
If you keep the PCM from the F-150 you will never get the 4R100 to shift right. That PCM can only control a 4R70W, it CANNOT control a 4R100.

How can I find a PCM that will work with my 2001 f150 5.4L super crew 4x4 with 4r100 transmission?
Also you mention that my transmission wiring harness needs to be modified. I took the one out of navigator and put it in wondering if that is okay? Thanks!
