I have been having the 2nd to 3rd gear grind since i bought the truck but has trans has always functioned properly. the other day im riding down the road and i shift to third, and lo and behold, 3rd is gone, not grabbing at all. 4th was still working, but it went out too in a matter of ten minutes. Is this a synchro problem? Also, i was at a stop light and trans was really tight and having to jerk it to get it in a gear. got it in first and went to pull out and it wont move, like the e brake was on? 1st, 2nd, 5th, and reverse are still working

 

Rebuild time. The M5OD is a light duty tranny.
