1995 Ford F150

Hey guys I have a 1995 Ford F150 Eddie Bourer edition. Wanted to see if I can get a standard transmission out there for it and if so what it would cost me to buy one and where could I find one at ? Thanks for the help !

The M5OD will bolt up, but won't live under the torque. You could put a ZF5 in it, but it will require a body lift or sheet metal tunnel mods and a different driveshaft.

There may be some aftermarket 5 or 6 speeds that will work. Check with Richmond Gear and others to see if they offer anything. Back in the 80's there was a 3 speed manual with an extra granny gear first that might work. There may be an aftermarket unit that will work if you want to spend the money.

Do you have to do body lifts and stuff and how hard is it to swap out a auto for a manual. I have dropped a manual transmission out of a ford before and it wasn't to hard at all, but how hard is it to put the clutch in and cut the whole for the shifter ? I have the tools to do it and people sell used transmissions in my area for like $150. They are typically 5 speeds. I can find one really easy for about that price and could put a new clutch and fluid in it before putting it in. Just don't know how bad it'll be to do it.
