4r100 creep

Sometimes when I start my truck and only seems to be when its cold it has a little creep forward to it? Has anyone ever heard of this? I wonder if there is an adjustment that needs tinkered with.

It's not unusual. It is caused by drag of the ATF in the clutches. Sometimes new fluid will help reduce this, running synthetic will definitely reduce it.

There is nothing that can be easily adjusted. You could rebuild the trans and set the clearances in each clutch to the looser end, but that's a lot of work for little gain.

Just had new fluid and filter. I was hoping it was nothing serious. Just never seen this happen before

Think putting some friction modifier in would help a little?

I'd leave it alone. A little creep has always been normal to ME with automatics.

Put your foot on the brake and the problem is actually solved.

It might help for a short time, but then it will destroy the trans. Probably not a good idea.

Yeah, I always thought that anything that thins trans fluid at all just wears the internal parts more.
