06 Trans with a mind of it's own

Had to make a stop on my way to work this morning, was just running 55mph and exited highway, went several blocks & stopped to pick someone up. When I went to leave the truck acted as if it didn't want to go and I noticed the 4x4 low light on the dash on but the selector switch was still in 2wh high. I tried working the selector switch, pulling forward slowly, went to neutral tried switching it again, shut the truck off & restarted and still did the same thing. Then the 4x4 L light went off and back to 2wh drive. Worked fine on the way home but now this has me concerned.
Any ideal what could have caused this?
I have had a Gryphon tuner installed for several month and haven't had any other issues, could there be a glitch in the tuner that could have caused this?

Thanks in Advance, Kenny

probably nothing to do with the trans. my guess is the transfer case encoder or gem module.
