For the PCM contact Bill at PHP, bill@phptune.com I had sent a few emails back and forth with him and Edge (recommended I contact PHP) when researching this same project. They can write a tune to eliminate the transmission functions from the PCM.

Awesome, thanks allot.
I wonder if that can be done with my SCT tuner though? I guess I should call my local tuner and ask him. I know I will be getting it dyno tuned when done.. I have just about every bolt on mod you can buy, just need some headers from Troyer to complete it. Then a blower someday.
I will be going with a 6 speed also, will be picking up the crate of parts in January when I head home. Also thinking of trying to use the manual shift T case, that its coming with, I will be getting all the linkages and the shifter with it, so we will see.
Found a pedal set from a 2006 F150 V6 manual that I will be using.
Anybody recommend a good driveshaft shop, to make me or modify my driveshafts?
Thanks,
Josh

I think the 4.2 V6's are still a cable activated throttle maybe 2008_XL can chime in on that one. The 5.4 is obviously a drive by wire throttle body, you'll probably have to swap your throttle pedal and sensor onto the 06 assembly if that's the case, or seperate the two assemblies. The firewall "should" already be set for the manual setup.

I think the gas pedal is separate from the brake and clutch pedal assembly? Not sure.
Even better yet, I could convert to a cable TB? I wonder if there is a TB out there I can use for a cable set up, I would love to get rid of the DBW.
Maybe this 75MM BBK one for the 5.4L 2V from the 97-03 F150?

Anybody know if it will work on a 4v? I guess I could always make a bracket deal.

To the OP,
Good luck with your swap man. I ordered my 2011 f510 extended cab with a 4.6v8 and a 5 speed. I love it but I'm swapping out the cab for a supercrew. Also, I'll be upgrading to a 5.4 (at least) and needed an idea for a stick shift. THAnks for posting up. Hope to see your thread with lots of pictures and details as to your workup. thanks again
