2003 5.4L transmission overfill

My truck was shifting hard, checked tranny fluid with nothing but spatter on dipstick-warm. Put a quart of mercon V in now it's showing in the high range. Is there a way to drain a small amt (200-500cc's) without pulling the pan? Thanks, Dave

With it idling in Park, warmed up, exactly where is the fluid on the stick?

Warm, between the second and third 'd' on the 'do not add' part of the stick.

Unless you have something you can put down the dipstick tube to suck some out, you would probably have to disconnect a cooler line.

Thanks. Had to rig some tubing with my vacuum but pulled out about 400cc and level is good now. Shouldve checked the manual. Says put fluid in 250cc increments. Whoops.
