sport trac 2010 rear end on 2002 f150

Hi,

as the tittle states, a neighbor is throwing away a 8.8 rear end coming out of his trashed 2010 sport trac, it has a trac lok and 4.11s, i was wondering if the track base was not extremely short for my f150 2002? I know welding and adapting is needed which i dont mind, im just concerned on the length..

The sport trac has an independent rear suspension so there isn't much you can swap. I guess you could use the gearset if you wanted to assuming you have an 8.8 now.
