1997 F150 stuck in 2WD Low

I'm new to this online community stuff so forgive me for any mistakes I'm sure I'll make.

Problem: I went to bed with my truck in 2wd high, and woke up to find my control was in 2wd low in the morning. I don't know if my dog switched it on me or what happened, but now it's stuck in 2wd low. I have no power to my control **** on my dash. I've done the basics to try and see what's wrong.

I can tink around on the engine itself, but this is a new area for me so any logical ideas or diagrams or anything would be extremely helpful for me!!

Thanks in advance to all those willing to help. I previously posted this in the V8 section, then realized that it may belong in the transmission section? I'm not trying to spam up the thread walls, just looking for answers.

2wd low? That's never been a factory option.

If it drives like it's in low range then it is stuck in 4WD. Like GLC said there isn't a 2Lo option, as it would stress the rear drive shaft and axles. If you have electronic shift on the fly then start by checking fuses or relays.

Have you tried shifting it into 2Hi while in neutral or slowly rolling?
