my transmission jerks when I am around 50 mph and accelerating

I have a 1998 F-150 Supercab. Everytime I am on the highway going about 40-70 mph and I accelerate - my truck has a violent jerk. I have 223,000 miles on it. Not sure how to change the transmission fluid - could this be my problem? How do I change it if so?

You just unbolt the pan and allow the liquid to slowly come out. But be warned, there is a lot of fluid in there. You may do more harm than good with that many miles on the truck by changing the fluids.

On a side note, change your filter too !!

Also drain the torque converter. Remove the dust cover under the bell housing and turn the engine over until you see the drain plug.
