tranny light?

ok, i first noticed the other week that when i cold started my truck the speedometer gague would bounce a little for the first 10 seconds and then level out fine. i also noticed that the trip o/d would reset itself in the process. now today the trany light is on, fludis fine and truck run great.

2004 f-150, stx, 4.6 V8 108000miles

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks guys!

My wife's van did these exact things this week. It was a bad cell in the battery, causing the voltage to drop making the instrument panel flake out and resetting the trip odometer. On Tuesday AM, it wouldn't start at all. Replaced the battery and all is well.

i found the problem! had some moisture in the plug going to tranny. must have been shorting out.
