i have a 1990 f150 with a 300 straight 6 with a 4 speed w/ granny gear. how hard is it to swap a 5 speed w/ overdrive into the truck? the reason im want to do is coz the tranny is making noises and pops out of 3rd gear when left of the throttle (like when down shifting to a stop). i dont need granny gear and would like to have overdrive to keep the r's down at highway speeds.
