Angry need some advice before going to delaer for warranty issue

today im driving down the highway and all is fine. i pull off on the on ramp and stop. light goes green i take off and the truck wont shift. luckily im almost where im going so i pull in and park it. well i put the truck in park and the rpm's spike to 2.5k and wont come back down. now im freaking out. ive had this truck for less then a month. i shut it off and restart it to see if it stopes. nope does it again. i put it in reverse and it kicks in very very hard.

i leave where im at after a hour and its still doing it. i finally decide to manually shift through the gears to see if that works(its a autmatic by the way) and it works. well one time through the gears from first to over drive and it stops acting up. the rest of the way home making multiple stop and goes at lights and stuff and the truck runs just fine. the high rpm in park is gone when i got home too

i talked to some people that say a simple filter and fluid change would fix this.

i have a limited power train warranty from the lot where i bought it so im going to take it there and make them look at it.

i ask you what all possible causes could this be. other then the obvious tranny taking a ****. i want as many suggestions and info as i can get to go into the dealer with because god knows if it aint doing it when i get there their going to say nothing is wrong because they dont want to fix it. i do know if they do that im taking it to a tranny shop and having them do a diagnostic check on it.
