the tarps, yeah i kinda did that but i was using the jack to lower the pan down, and it doesn't balance very well, it fell and i'm like screw it i'm not getting drenched in tranny oil, and let it go. also it looks like there are 2 different bolt sizes on the valvebody, i assume 1 is for the v-body and the other the stiffener plates?

Why did you take out the check balls?

Mine stayed in place. Never touched them.

well just got back from a test drive and..... the factory tech separator plate is the shiz-nit. i left my edge on the 93 tune(i had the firmness down already) and at 2500rpms the 1-2 shift chirps those stockers nicely and i left the stock springs and accumulators IN THERE!
after i told my dad about the tire chirp, i let him drive it and hes tried doing it.

I'm going to add a DMR panhard to my green truck while I'm waiting on the built 4r75 just to keep the axle in line when it shifts under boost

the other day i changed lanes and floored it, it downshifted from 4th to 2nd pulled like a bat outa hell, and ON THE SHIFT FROM 2-3 IT MADE BOTH TIRES SCREAM. and this is after i turn it down significantly, that is pretty BA. remember this is a pretty much stock 4.6L

Hi guys...in need of help on this. That little rectangular filter... Where does it go? Did I get it back in the right spot? Look at the lower right on the picture. Makes no sense to me but I don't know what I'm doing. Sure doesn't look like the filter is supposed to go there but it seems like that is where it is pointing in the service manual but the picture sucks.
