well i'm probably going to go with procharger, cause the 4r70w's don't really get along with the positive displacement S/Cs that much.
What??? I installed my eaton at 90,000 miles and now have 140,000 miles. Orginal 4r70w, but with Factory Tech Plate. Its a daily driver and I don't drive it like I stole it, but the tranny is doing fine. I run well over 10lbs of boost. So it really depends on how you drive. Would think a centrifugal would have problems as well, especially during shifts.
How because the truck is getting up in miles and I plan to drive it till at least 200,000 miles, I am gathering info on trans rebuild.
i plan on racing weekend, mainly test and tune, against tools in hondas, also don't do a rebuild just get a 4R70W Monsterbox, or better yet a 4R100 Monsterbox.
well just bought it, so hopefully it will get this week, and i will do it this weekend. there is realy no purpose for saying this i'm just bumpin it now cause i'll be crying for help once something goes wrong.
good stuff, the procharger kit on a regular cab short bed F-150 with a PI 5.4 and 3.73 gears will hit the rev limiter in the 1/4 mile, add a 3# pulley and a better inlet duct coupled with injectors, MAF and tune makes for a fun ride on an otherwise stock truck
my green truck truck is getting either a 4r75 or a torque shift 5 speed auto with all the hassle of the 4r100 swap I'll go big or not all

no, mines a 4.6L(for now) and still 3:55s, but am going to put 4:10s in after winter, and still need to upgrade to a gryphon, and a 75 shot of NO2 and it'll be ready for the strip next summer, right now i ran a 15.8 which ain't bad for a 4.6L.
you can still do good things with the 4.6, check out colin masons procharged stroked 4.6 truck, it hauls and faster150 has a nice bullit intake for his 4.6 build
there's a guy on you tube running 12's with a P1SC procharged 4.6 truck

the procharger is at least a year or so away, and once i hit 200,000mi than i'm gonna build up a modmax 5.4L lightning block(good to 1000HP), with trickflow heads and cams, stock manifold(maybe), and longtubes. but till than i'll just do a 50-75shot, of NO2, once i get everything else, i'll bump it up to 150-200shot.
the lightning motors are too low of compression unless you are planning on running 20+ psi
you can do well with a modified metal truck intake, I want to test mine VS the HPS

I have some inexpensive plastic tarps I put on the garage floor when I take the tranny pan off. Keeps all the oil off the floor. The oil wipes off the tarp really easy.

Well it just shifts harder now that I'm making a bit more power. But I have learned that I do break traction even with these big meats on.
I put on a gatorback belt so no without the belt chirp I can hear the tire chirp on the 1-2 shift.
The one to two shift is perfect for me but the two to three is still too hard for me.
Hopefully Troyer with work that out with the supercharger tune I'm getting from him.

well just dropped the pan, and efuenrin i see what you mean and it is very difficult and now there is oil all over my driveway as well
by the way when you guys did this is it normal for there to be extremely fine metal shavings on the magnet or is there a monsterbox in the very near future.
please let me know people who have done this before.
