Hi Folks,
I am new to the forum. Also new to Ford trucks, just got my first. It's a 1989 F150 V8 engine 4-speed. Been driving it for about a month. Still good condition.
First issue:
I have to clutch down very hard to start the engine, but it starts on first turn always. Just not sure why I have to press the clutch so hard. It's almost like pressing it to the fullest and then a little more.
Second issue:
Just started hearing a loud squeaking noise everytime I clutch down to shift (all gears). Like a squeaky belt. Only when I clutch down though. Prior to this there was a slight continuous squeaky mouse-like noise but not when I was clutching down, but when I reach to 4th (driving) gear. However when I slightly pressed/ taped the clutch pedal it went away but came back after a few moments.
Could that have been the start of waht I am hearing now. Anyone has an idea what is happening.
