Shift kit in 93 F150

Is a shift kit easy to install? Do i have to take out the trans? Whats a good brand for shift kits, I know i have saw B&M at the local advance and autozone.

Its a 93 F150 XL 2wd with 302 automatic trans. It has 1st, Drive and Overdrive if that matters in the shift kit.

Thanks

The transmission does not have to be removed. You will probably have to remove the valve body depending on the kit.
Transgo is another brand that I've seen recommended many times.

With 14 bolts, you have an AOD or AOD-E. This is the forerunner to the 4R70W. If it has a TV cable going from the throttle linkage to the tranny, it's an AOD. No cable, it's an AOD-E.
