4r70w swap questions.

so i been scouring the net about this but on my 97 4x4 4.6 supercab my 4r70w is ready to go. so i got a line on a screamin deal for a brand new 98+ trans and i think i figured it out: i have to repin my plug and reuse my existing mlps (range sensor) which should bolt on. other than that i should be set to go right? can anyone verify this? i got the repin info from a few different sites including the p71 and tccoa sites.

I can help you on accurate repin info and the transmission will work as long as it is from a 4x4. If it isn't from a 4x4 then it won't fit without complete disassembly to swap parts and at that point it would be just as easy to rebuild yours.

A 4x4 MUST have a transmission from a 4x4. This is most important.

cool!! yeah im still hunting for a trans at the moment/ trying to save some cash but that definitely opens some options up. so can you tell me the mlps does bolt right on? this will be sweet. and if you have some info on the repin that would be awesome. thanks
