On another topic, if you are planning on putting a 4BT in there, you need to research the engine redline carefully before you put 5.38's in there. Diesels generally can only be run to about 1/2 the RPM's of a gas motor, I think even with huge tires, 5.38's may be too low for highway operation. Just a suggestion.
Ok ill search some more for threads pertaining to the problem thanks.

the axles are already under the truck, i was told that they had 5.13's in them when i bought them. But for some reason it just seems way to low for 5.13's you seriously can drive in grass, dirt or gravel without spinnin. So im gonna have to check into the gearing more.

Ive seen some swaps running 2.5 Rockwells on the 4bt and thats crazy gearing. So im gonna have to run trial and error on that. If i have to ill change the gears to something else.

My truck RARELY sees 60+ MPH so im gonna run with it now. Ill have to get it on the road to see what RPM's im cruisin at.

thanks again

I'm gonna make an educated guess here - based on a vague recollection. I *think* there's a cable going to the transmission that moves the gear selector - and an extreme lift kit may be stretching that cable too tight and it's binding.

10-4. not really sure how the suspension lift would stretch it. But im sure my body lift stretched it. Maybe its just going out.

Im gonna find said cable and follow it all the way back and see if its getting bound up. if its not that then ill check the column area.
